Is each piece really handmade?
Every current-collection ring, necklace, earring, and bracelet is finished by hand in the J. Ruth studio — no factory production. The Vintage collection is different: those pieces are hand-picked, cleaned, and inspected rather than made from scratch, and each product page notes which is which.
Can I order a custom piece?
Yes — bring a stone, a sketch, or just an idea. Custom pieces typically take 4–6 weeks. Start a conversation through the Contact form.
What metals do you use?
Mostly gold-plated stainless steel, brass, or sterling silver, with nickel-free findings — plus a handful of solid sterling silver and bronze pieces. The exact metal for each piece is listed on its product page.
Will my piece tarnish?
Solid sterling silver may darken slightly over years; a quick polish brings it back. Gold-plated pieces hold up well with normal wear — just keep them dry and away from perfume or lotion to protect the plating.
Do you offer ring sizing?
Free resizing on most rings within one full size for the first 30 days. After that, a small fee applies depending on the metal and stone setting.
